Accessibility Statement
Accessibility is not a feature of MHC. It is the reason MHC is built the way it is.
Our commitment
Mental Health Core was founded by a disabled veteran and licensed mental health counselor who uses assistive technology every day. We target conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, and we treat that as a floor, not a finish line.
What we build in
- High-contrast text on a warm, low-glare canvas
- A visible focus indicator on every interactive element
- Full keyboard operability
- Respect for your reduced-motion system setting
- Large touch targets and a single-column reading layout
- Plain language, short screens, one idea at a time
- Crisis support visible on every screen
Honest status
Formal accessibility assessment of the current release is in progress. We publish this statement before that assessment is complete because accountability should not wait for paperwork.
Tell us what's broken
If any part of MHC is difficult or impossible for you to use, that is a defect, and we want to know. Email coreinfo@mentalhealthcore.com. Reports go to the founder directly.
